A film festival is an organised film presentation in cinemas held within the same region. Film festivals are usually annual events. They cut across all genres and focus on both international and local releases. Films expected to make a comeback in 2021 include:
Tribeca Film Festival
The Tribeca Film Festival held in New York City will make a return in 2021. The event will be on the 9th of June. The main focus will be on shows that did not premiere due to the cancellation of the 2020 edition. This year’s event will be the 20th anniversary.
GDC, San Francisco
The 2021 edition of the GDC, San Francisco festival will start on 19th to 23rd of July. This film event will be both physical and virtual. Those attending the festival physically will be at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
Sundance Film Festival, Utah
The Sundance Film Festival kicks off on 28th January and runs up to 3rd of February. The event will be live in Utah. It will also be in more than 20 community cinemas in the United States and beyond. Tickets to the festival are available on the festival’s site. Some of the performances to expect are 7 Sounds and The Changing Same: Episode 1.
Future of Storytelling Summit
This film festival will be in New York City on the 9th and 10th of June, 2021. Top talents, technologists and creative will come together at the Snug Harbour Campus.
